My Story

there was a little girl with a big imagination who always had her nose in a book!

I remember looking at picture books at a very young age. Little Golden books captivated me, even before I could read all the words. But once I knew the words and learned how to put them together, stories came pouring out.  

The first story I remember writing was out of this world...a science fiction adventure about an alien family on another planet. I was in third grade. My teacher loved it, and I remember thinking writing stories was pretty cool. From that point on, I wrote lyrical leprechaun legends, silly sister stories (because I didn't have one, only brothers), and eventually the dreaded term papers.    

After college, I worked as an advertising and marketing professional for a Fortune 100 company. I was surrounded by some of the most talented people in the industry and learned all aspects of writing, design and publication. It was a great training ground for my secret dream of writing children's books.
